| You may not be aware that there are Arctic foxes right here in Europe.
Arctic Foxes are small carnivores native to the extreme north of our planet.
Protected and camouflaged by their beautiful thick fur, these inquisitive little
animals have evolved to survive in one of the harshest climates on earth.
Designed to protect them against hostile temperatures and icy winds, their
beautiful white winter fur is the reason why millions of these exquisite animals
are killed. At least 15,000 of these animals used to live in parts of
Scandinavia, but relentless hunting and trapping for fur in the mid-19th century
caused a dramatic population decline from which the species has yet to recover.
Less than 150 Arctic foxes survive in Europe today, making this part of the
world’s population acutely endangered.
Millions of arctic foxes suffer under atrocious conditions on Chinese fur
farms before being forced to endure the most violent deaths, including being
skinned alive. Because China has no animal welfare laws, this is perfectly
legal.
Help us protect these beautiful animals and other wildlife against cruelty and exploitation. By becoming a foster parent you are enabling us to continue improving the lives of Arctic Foxes and other displaced or injured animals, and to protect the habitats of their wild counterparts
